Found your website by accident; I was looking on Google maps for my very good friends and former employers, Ernie Kloeble and Al Williams, now deceased, who owned The Rheinlander Haus and Schnitzelbank Restaurants in La Jolla & La Jolla Shores. They owned two different homes, one on Hillside Drive, then the second one on Encelia Drive very near Ted Geissel’s home.
Did you know them? I would be interested to hear your stories. I was a member of the first class at UCSD when it opened in 1964.

I have a German friend who worked as cook at Rhinelander in1981 and knew both Alan and Ernst. Ernst came from the southern German town of Reutlingen.
